Sure. Well, I'm as sure as the mother of an almost 3 year old is. Yep, you guessed it, Athena had her first gymnastics lesson today. I gotta tell you it was a rough start (everyone was older than her and was used to the class format). No worries, after ten minutes she really started to get into it though. She was doing cart wheels on mats, on the balance beam, was doing flips on the uneven bars and climbing the rock wall. She was really getting into it. I stood in the distance with Saylor in my arms wanting to try it out too (not me but Say Say).
Towards the end of the class it was hard to tell that Athena had not been doing this all of her life.
By the way for those you youngin's who don't know who Kerri Strug is, I have included a youtube video that for some reason I don't tire of seeing.

I always wanted to put my daughters in gymnastics... but seeing how I ended up with 2 boys, I'll have to take a rain check on that.
I'm a huge gymnastics fanatic, and still remember watching those 1996 Olympics. I still have the VCR tape that I recorded it on. I also never get tired of seeing that footage of Kerri Strug.
Such a cutie :) :) :)
That is so awesome. I love that you have started her in gymnastics already!! She looks like she's really enjoying it.
Athena looked like she had a great time. Chris loves jumping on the trampoline. What kid doesn't? Better at the gym then say your bed or sofa? ;)
OMG, she's so cute and coordinated! What a great sport to introduce her to. She's the best almost-three-year-old on the PLANET!!!!!
Where is taking her gymnastic classes?
I assume the "is" is athena, lol. Discovery Gymnastics.
Okay, and I watch that video because I "needed" to cry today?? HUH?? 12 YEARS?? 12 years have gone by? Where has the time gone BLB???
